THE
Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Leyte chapter held a Legal, Medical and
Dental Mission at the city jail on Thursday as one of the activities of the
re-visit to Ormoc of the Supreme Court’s (SC) Enhanced Justice on Wheels
program. The IBP tapped the Rotary Club of Ormoc and Rotary Club of Ormoc Bay
to facilitate the activity.

More than 100 inmates enlisted for the free medical and dental consultations conducted by City Health Office, Ormoc Medical Society and Ormoc Medical Representatives Association. Private cardiologists, nefrologists and surgeons also rendered their services.
Dr. Sandra
Fiel-Chiong, president of Rotary Club of Ormoc is pleased that Unilab and its
distributor in Ormoc Icon Trading donated a substantial number of medicines.
This means the inmates can complete taking the complete dosage of antibiotics
for the whole week.
For its part, Rotary Club of Ormoc Bay
distributed three dozen sachets of shampoo to all inmates and jail guards. Both
Rotaries have member physicians and lawyers that rendered their services.
Associate Justice Mariano C. del Castillo and SC Administrator Jose Midas P.
Marquez graced the activity.
