DEPSPITE
their busy schedule consisting of practices and workshops for the pageant, the 12 candidates of
Bb. Ormoc 2015 participated in a feeding activity on June 13 with the Kiwanis
Club. The ladies spent more than three hours interacting with almost 300
children living in temporary shelters in Brgy. Concepcion.
The grateful parents are overwhelmed by the presence of beautiful ladies in their community. “Mga gwapa ug buotan sila nga mga kandidata kay bisan nag-ulan nianhi gihapon sila, gipanghungitan ug gikugos pa gyud nila ang mga bata,” one mother said.
The activity is a form of statement by the candidates that the modern Ormocana’s beauty is not limited to physical appearance only but also manifests in her concern for social causes and her desire to ease the plight of the less fortunate in society. by Jospehine Serseña
